Lesson 3 presents more practice with the home row. You will practice the sounds of the home row keys a, s, d, f, j, k, l, and the ; key.

Lesson 4 will introduce you to the sound for the letter t and the most often used punctuation mark, the period. You will practice the sounds for a few CVC words, use the shift key, and type a sentence. Lesson 5 is where you’ll hear the sounds for three new letters, b, e, and r. The short vowel sound for the letter e, is in this lesson. You will continue practicing CVC words.

Lesson 6 - In this lesson you will hear the sound for the short vowel i. You’ll practice typing more CVC words, and a sentence.

Lesson 8 introduces the short sound for the vowel u along with the letters r and n. After this lesson you will have practiced all the English short vowel sounds. Be sure to repeat lessons 1-8 for more practice with CVC words and sentences.

Lesson 9 is focused around the short a sound and the sound for the letter v. The more you practice CVC words, the more fluent your English speaking and writing will be. You will find these letter combinations in many English words.

Lesson 11 - The sounds for the letters y and z are the topic of this lesson. In addition you will continue your study of short vowels and CVC words with a focus on the short i.

Lesson 12 - You are in the home stretch. That phrase means that you have almost been introduced to all the letter sounds. You’ll practice the short vowel sound for the letter o, and also type a sentence with the letter w.

Lesson 13 concludes your introduction to the alphabet keys, but there are still more letter sounds you’ll want to practice. In this lesson you’ll practice the sound for the letter q along with its friend the short vowel u. Together they make a special sound.
